When food is natural and not prodded with funny sounding ingredients, it’s almost like we’re saying, ”Hey, food. I respect you for what you are!” and then, after our physical work and careful attention to each piece, we are left with fresh, simple, and deliciously healthy meals that our bodies will thank us for.
Heed the feed. Respect the food.
Cooking is an art, but you have to start with wonderfully fresh and pure supplies. And let me tell you. I am so appreciative of those who have shared with me the importance of keeping our bodies and environment clean. And the farmers who work and fight and learn and grow and supply us with beautifully organic results who unselfishly keep getting up at three A.M.? Ah. Don’t get me started.
So, let’s celebrate by telling the world that good food is better! Even by telling people in the smallest way how our bodies have their own celebrations when fueled with organic food (I picture my body with party hats and kazoos), like having friends over for dinner or choosing this over that in the grocery (or by starting a blog!) is hugely beneficial. Pure food rules, artificiality drools.

ps. I won’t bore you by listing every ingredient as organic this or organic that. Just assume that every ingredient is at its yummiest, smartest, and healthiest when it’s organic. Thanks for reading and enjoy.

Jackie
the peanut granola looks amazing and pretty simple I actually may try it! Thanks Jessa….you’re the bomb!
Thank you, friend! Did you make it yet??
This blog is awesome! The Harry Potter posts really have me wanting to try new foods, and your local-foods emphasis is exactly what Ripples encourages as we built our sustainable homestead. Because of that, I’ve nominated you for The Versatile Blogger Award! You deserve it. http://versatilebloggeraward.wordpress.com/ Check out my post for more details about the award.
You’re so sweet!!
I loved the photos on your blog. Looking forward to trying some recipes soon :-).
Oh, wonderful! Please let me know how they turn out!
Muchos congrats! on winning the celebrate with organic blogger contest!!! You so deserved to win this; you remind me of a student I used to have who defied the odds and started her own cooking demonstration business during high school. And anyway, I wanted the blogger of Harry Potter foods to win 🙂 Congratulations!
Wow! That student is cool. Thanks so much! I’m glad I found your blog through the contest! Finalists unite! 🙂
It was great meeting you. I love your philosophy on food!
Thanks, Jackie! Miss you! Hope you’re well!
Great blog Jessa!
Thank you, Needle and Fork! 🙂

Thanks for the kind words and nomination!
I agree about the fresher, more natural the tastier. As an Environmentalist and a Buddhist I sum up my beliefs; “We do not inherit the planet from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.”
I could not agree more with your food philosophy. And I’m super jealous of your photos! They’re amazing!!! I’ve been trying to use organic ingredients in my post recipes lately, especially since I’ve been reading a book called GRUB! by Bryant Terry. Have you read it?
Also. I seriously appreciate your honesty about Harry Potter. We stand united.
Aw, well thanks! 🙂 And I haven’t heard of that book! Will totally have to look into it!
Your blog is lovely and simple and yet so sophisticated at the same time! Not to say that your writing isn’t, because I have actually laughed out loud for a lot of it! Hahaha, anyway, I wish to nominate you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award, mainly because you are very inspiring not only to me but for others to eat as healthily as possible. Your mission (if you choose to accept it, by which I won’t be offended if you don’t) is to 1) display the award logo, 2) link back to the person giving the award, 3) state 7 things about you, 4) list 15 blogs that you wish to nominate, 5) notify these bloggers of the award and the rules. The person that nominated me is here: http://theleapingllama.net/ Keep up the inspiration!
I am so late on this, but thank you so much!
Love this blog so much!! x
That’s very kind! Thank you!
